Located in a renovated Pentecostal church building, Zen Buddhist Temple offers services and meditation courses to the general public, and provides a com­munity for fellowship and support as well as a monastic training center for Bud­dhist monks and nuns. Among the tem­ple’s special events are lecture series, Buddhist art exhibitions, Buddha’s Birth­day celebrations, and special New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day services. The temple serves as a center for study and practice for students enrolled in the Mai - treya Buddhist Seminary. It also runs a year-round solitary retreat center with its own meditation hall, individual rooms, and kitchen.
