Located in a renovated Pentecostal church building, Zen Buddhist Temple offers services and meditation courses to the general public, and provides a community for fellowship and support as well as a monastic training center for Buddhist monks and nuns. Among the temple’s special events are lecture series, Buddhist art exhibitions, Buddha’s Birthday celebrations, and special New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day services. The temple serves as a center for study and practice for students enrolled in the Mai - treya Buddhist Seminary. It also runs a year-round solitary retreat center with its own meditation hall, individual rooms, and kitchen.
