Saskatoon Buddhist Studies Group

Saskatoon Buddhist Studies Group grew out of a visit by a Tibetan Buddhist lama in 1990. Except during the summer months, we meet weekly in the home of one of our members. This has brought an informal and welcoming atmosphere to the group. In lieu of a teacher, we use books, audio and video teaching tapes, and each other as resources. We focus mainly on Insight and, to some extent, Tibetan meditation. Meetings consist of meditation, teaching, discussion, and social time. We are an eclectic lot; some are “Buddhists,” some are not, and some are in between!
